When working as a Construction Superintendent, Project Superintendent, or Job Site Superintendent, you’ll take on responsibility for detailed coordination and oversight of various construction projects. Duties that come with Commercial Construction Superintendent jobs include working in tandem with subcontractors and to organize, coordinate, and delegate their roles to ensure the project is completed to client standards. Manage project and working hour schedules, project progress, resource allocation, and other needs to ensure your entire multi-faceted team has what it needs to succeed.Add to the team by hiring or sourcing subcontractors based on project needs.Develop cost estimates for the entirety of the project, including materials, supplies, tools, and labor—and work with clients and others involved with the project to determine reasonable, efficient, and cost-effective budgets and timelines.Coordinate delivery of necessary materials, tools, machines, and other needs with vetted vendors and suppliers.Document the project and job site’s daily operations and progress, and report to clients, workers, and other stakeholders as needed.
